About the Program
Samhain is the Celtic fire festival honoring the Dead and is a cross-quarter day marking the mid-point between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice. It is a time of mourning, honoring our ancestors, and remembering those we love. Samhain invites us toÂ
This Samhain we will gather to mourn collective loss and hold a vigil for Palestinians who are struggling for survival under the violence of genocide. We will remember lives lost during this devestating time, Â "feel together what is too big to feel alone," and share resources for learning and taking action.
In this time of collective sorrow, the only thing that makes sense is to come together. Our bodies aren't designed to process this pain alone. It is the nature of collective grief to digest it through the communal body.
