We are being called to mend our estrangement from the web of life,

Eco-Somatics is a field of embodied research and practice that nurtures ancestral technologies of Embodied Belonging. With roots in Indigenous knowledge systems, it combines the work of somatics and ecology to create a framework for developing our felt sense of self to include the relational field of our living ecology and cosmos.
Somatics recognizes the body as a source of wisdom and innate intelligence from which we can orient our lives, while Ecology recognizes the interconnectedness of all phenomena, and that there is intrinsic value and consciousness that exists in the wider ecology.
Therefore, eco-somatics helps us to understand in an experiential way that our interconnectedness to the living world happens through our bodies, because our bodies are an extention of earth. Belonging is embodied to the extent that one is attuned and responsive to the wisdom of the earth / body continuum.
