About the Program


Ecosomatic Retreats are half-day Earth Bonding  experiences where you will be immersed in the healing energy of the natural world. They are designed to bring you into embodied presence, sensory pleasure, and joyful aliveness. Each retreat aims to counter the embodied narratives of mainstream culture which reproduce stress patterns that dis-regulate the individual and collective nervous system and further separate us from our natural wisdom and empowerment. For this reason, Ecosomatic Retreats offer a creative response to the challenges we face in these times.

Our retreats are intentionally crafted to create felt-sense experiences that reorient the internal working model towards deepening trust, safety, regulation and body attunement. Earth Bonding  is a term to describe the embodied exploration of self in relationship to earth. It is a process of creating meaningful, intimate and healing encounters between you and the more-than-human-world.  These experiences foster  eco-regulation, which is an interactive process of regulatory support that occurs within the context of nature and can lead to the formation of a secure attachment with the tangible personhood of place.

The teachings, medicine and healing powers of nature are abundant, especially when we are able to engage with earth in mindful and reverent ways. As an extension of nature, your system is designed to be in alignment with the oscillating rhythms of flow, rest, rising, falling, growth, activity, and so on.

Through facilitated Earth Bonding experiences you will:

  • Make contact with the seasonal energy  through a facilitated somatic experience that mirrors nature's rhythms, movements, tones, breath patterns, and ways of relating.
  • Be given the opportunity to explore your relationship to the living landscape while deepening your relationship to your own body as an extension of earth.
  • Practice attuning to your sensational body while leaning on nature as a nurturing presence.

When you spend time in nature, you awaken your senses, noticing the sights, smells and sounds of nature.

Within 5 min of being in nature your body and brain start to change...

  • Your heart rate slows
  • Your facial muscles start to relax
  • Your hardworking frontal lobes begin to quiet down.

The body of Spring is fragrant and fresh with intoxicating sweetness, sensual energy, excitement, inspiration, possibility and growth. Our half-day retreat arrives on the eve of May Day and will be an ecstatic experience of sensing the orgasmic expression of earth’s spring body. We open, invite, and stimulate the flesh of our bodies by touching and being touched by life. We have orchestrated a rhythmic experience that will arouse your senses, open new neural pathways, and bathe your body in the permeating vibrations of the season.
