Forest bathing, or shinrin yoku, is a Japanese practice of taking in the forest’s atmosphere through all the senses. It is a practice of INTER-BEING and cultivating connection through our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. The practice of Forest Bathing is like a bridge. By opening our senses, it bridges the gap between ourselves and the natural world. It is a potent, proven method for relieving stress, boosting mood and immunity, and fostering deeper bonds with nature.

- Sensory Awareness
- Earth connection
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
OVERVIEW:
- 10-10:30: opening circle
- 10:30-11: activating poetic attention
- 11-:11:30: solo earth connection
- 11:30-12: closing circle
WHAT TO WEAR / BRING:
- Please wear whatever you will feel most comfortable in though long pants and socks helps with preventing ticks. Ideally close toed shoes.
- Drinking water
- Bug repellant if necessary
- Sun screen if applicable
ACCESSIBILITY / LOCATION NOTES:
- Gravel roads and mowed grassy area for parking
- Meeting in the grass under the Grandmother Oak Tree
- Trails: natural surface trails include mowed grass trails along the fields and narrow foot paths through the forests
- Rest rooms: outdoor privy / not wheelchair accessible
